Description
Our next Book Club is on Monday 18th October at 6pm, To Be Continued by James Robertson (2016)
Douglas is fifty years old – he’s just lost his job, been kicked out by his girlfriend and moved back into his dad’s house. Just when things are starting to look hopeless, he makes a very unexpected new friend: a talking toad.
A wildly eccentric tale laced with dry, deprecating wit ― The Times
SHORTLISTED FOR THE WODEHOUSE COMIC FICTION PRIZE 2017
Copies are available from our eBooks Library to download for free and a printed copy is available to borrow from the collection.
We are intending for this event to be in person in the Library but if that’s not possible for whatever reason then we’ll Zoom our discussion on Monday 18th October at 6pm and if you would like to join that discussion (or the Book Club) then please email me: gellf@theleedslibrary.org.uk.
Further dates: Nov TBC
The Leeds Library offers all Members the choice of two book clubs to join. One meets monthly on a Monday evening and the other meets monthly on a Tuesday morning. Currently both meet on Zoom but we hope that will change back to in person meetings in the Library in the coming months. Read more here.
