Filming at the Leeds Library
The Leeds Library is a stunning Grade II* listed Georgian library in the heart of Leeds, the city’s oldest cultural institution and the oldest subscription library in the UK. The oldest parts of our home on Commercial Street date from 1808, and boast many original features and a collection of 140,000 books, including many rare editions. The library has a Victorian extension, including cast-iron galleries; and the Reading Room and Old Librarian’s Office boast lots of quirky, original features.
The Leeds Library has been used as a location for everything from drama to music videos and documentaries.
As a fully-functioning library with a growing membership, all filming requests are considered on a case-by-case basis in order to minimise disruption to our members.
