Throughout the first half of 2025, staff, trustees, volunteers, and members contributed to the creation of an exhibition commemorating 80 years since the end of World War Two. The response to our call for memories, mementos and souvenirs was unprecedented – we had so much material, in fact, that we created a brochure to accompany the physical exhibition in the foyer. You can read that brohure here.
We also produced a follow-up piece about the aftermath of the conflict – what happened when people came home from the conflict (and didn’t)? What happened when those engaged in ‘war work’ on the home front returned to their pre-war lives? You can read our aftermath booklet here.
