The Leeds Library was opened in 1768 and moved to its current home on Commercial Street in 1808. It is a stunning grade II listed building and provides a unique setting for meetings, workshops, talks, events and larger gatherings.
Outside of our core opening hours the Library has up to 4 rooms available for events, ranging from the intimate splendour of the Old Librarian’s Office which is perfect for meetings up to 8 people, to the ornate New Room with its stunning architecture and which is able to host talks, concerts, and weddings for up to 80 people.
Other rooms available include the Main Room, which provides the perfect backdrop and setting to receive guests prior to using the New Room (80 capacity); and the Thoresby Room which can host gatherings for up to 20 people and provide added space for any functions in the New Room including a space for refreshments and catering.
We are able to accommodate a number of different room set-ups and are happy to talk through with you about your catering and technical requirements.
