Fundraising events
The Leeds Library has embarked on its next chapter, securing the future of the library for the next 250 years. Our Next Chapter Project will see the Library expand from its current premises at 18 Commercial Street into the neighbouring building. The move is an investment in our future: 42,000 books stored off-site will be united under one roof; we will become fully-accessible for the first time in our history; and a dedicated event and education space will allow us to deliver a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary programme, designed to celebrate the magic of language, storytelling and reading.
To support this development, the Library will be hosting a number of fundraising events over the coming year, to raise much-needed funds for the building project. By attending one of these events, you will be directly contributing to the success of the library, and securing its future for generations to come.
