Description
Leeds Lit Fest presents
In Skin Deep, Gavin Evans explores the re-emergence of race science, tracing its roots back to early scientific theories and long-standing prejudices which don’t stand up to proper scientific scrutiny but are widespread on the internet.
Gavin Evans is a lecturer at Birkbeck University in London, grew up in the apartheid era in South Africa and has written widely on race. His chapter on race and sport is particularly interesting and timely.
Tickets are £6, or £5 if you are a Leeds Library Member. Please show your card on the day.
