Hannah Stone’s guest for Nowt but Verse on Friday 28th August is the inimitable Pamela Scobie, a popular figure on the Leeds and Otley poetry scene. Pam was inhouse playwright for a theatre company and wrote children’s books for OUP before focusing on writing poetry. Trained as an actor, Pam’s delivery of her witty and acerbic verse is compelling. Leeds Library afficionados may remember her performance with Hannah and Amina Alyal of their show Mythlexia in 2019, and she collaborated with Hannah on their most recent production/book Fit to Bust. Her two solo collections, O Darling Dr Frankenstein and The Dark Side of the Bed, are published by Otley based press Half Moon Books.

This event will start at 1pm with around 40 minutes of conversation between the poets followed by 10 mins of questions from the audience with no open mic.We look forward to entertaining you with our conversation.

This is a free event with an option to donate with all proceeds going to the Leeds Library.
