Hannah Stone’s guest for Nowt but Verse on Friday 25th September is Aziz Dixon.

Aziz Dixon discovered poetry in his fifties, inspired by the Pennine landscape of his adopted home and his interest in Sufi Mysticism. He has written about political, religious and family themes, working in Peter Sansom’s poetry workshops and with fellow poets at Ty Newydd poetry retreat house. After self-publishing a number of volumes of poetry he was delighted to have his first pamphlet, Because of the War, published by Marsden-based Maytree Press.’

This event will start at 1pm with around 40 minutes of conversation between the poets followed by 10 mins of questions from the audience with no open mic.We look forward to entertaining you with our conversation.

This is a free event with an option to donate with all proceeds going to the Leeds Library.
