Description
The Leeds Library was established in 1768 by Joseph Priestley and several acquaintances and is the oldest membership subscription Library in the UK of its type and the oldest cultural institution in Leeds. One of the gems of the city this is a rare opportunity to have a guided tour around the Library and its Grade II* Listed building. Going into more depth and further behind the scenes than our usual tours, the National Lottery Open Week tour will take visitors not only around the Library and into the depths of the Library Basement to see some of the 140k items in the Library collection, but will also give visitors the chance to look at some of the gems of the Library collection.
This event is part of the National Lottery Open Week and will be free to holders of a national lottery ticket.
Please note: If neither you nor a member of your group has a lottery ticket a £5 ticket price will be charged for the tour.
