Time and space thicken as perspective twists in this transformative movement installation piece. Part of Leeds International Festival.
Maria Popova is a freelance dance artist with a background in Fine Art and her movement installation piece Page 127: seeks to transform the temporal space.
A body embedded in an abstracted sculptural surrounding, consumed by crisp white paper that is neither falling nor rising, time stands still. The shifting space is thickened with its own consistency; its own productive agency becomes the performer, an interplay between reality and imagination unfolds the work itself.
There will be two performances of Page 127: on 12 May – 1pm and 4pm.
This is a FREE event in partnership with Yorkshire Dance, Leeds Beckett University and the Leeds Library. Booking is essential.
