London, 1794 an eager collector, Samuel is delighted when, from an unknown source, his teenage son William brings him documents written, it seems, by Shakespeare. Even an unknown play is unearthed.
When Vortigern is staged at Drury Lane, however, scholars questioned the authority of these finds and London denounces Samuel as a forger.
Meanwhile at home, all is turmoil, skeletons tumble from cupboards and the family gets caught up in its own tragic-comedy.
Leeds, 2019 The ghosts of William, Samuel and Anna the housekeeper have met up to discuss the simple truth of the matter.
– Is truth ever simple?
