A Revolution in the Home; Victorian domestic interiors and the aesthetics of electrification.

Women played an important part in the introduction of the significant new technology of electricity into the Victorian home. Professors Abigail Harrison Moore and Graeme Gooday of Leeds University will examine these issues, and introduce us to some Victorian approaches to decor, as well as later developments in design.
