Description
Book Launch: A History of Walking, poems by Lydia Kennaway. Hosted by James Nash.
On A History of Walking:
‘Lydia Kennaway was born in New York but she has lived in Yorkshire for over 40 years. She has a BFA in printmaking from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, and holds a patent for the invention of a braille music transcription system. Published widely in small magazines, she’s currently completing an MA in Writing Poetry at Newcastle University. She is a cellist, so her ear for lyric is not wholly unexpected. But her tonal range is astonishing—in these poems she walks, skips, dances and strides between love, mischief, elegy and . . . rage.’
