Our next Members’ Book Club is on Tuesday 1 September, 5.30pm: A Month in the Country by J.L. Carr (1980).

Shortlisted for the Booker Prize, it won the Guardian fiction prize and into a film.

Carr has the magic touch to re-enter the imagined past – Penelope Fitzgerald.

Copies are available for free download on our eBooks platform.
