register 1The Leeds Library began life modestly in 1768 above a bookseller’s shop. Today the library is a charity and has a wonderful collection of books and periodicals housed in a fine two hundred year-old building.

Events over Summer...
Due to essential work being carried out this summer, there will be a break in the events schedule over the Summer period.  Tours will still take place on the first Saturday and middle Wednesday of the month.  For dates and to book a place please see our events page.


We are open:

Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 09.00 - 17.00
09.00-18.00Thursday: 09.00-19.00
Saturday: 09:30-13:00Any Bank Holiday/extra closures will be advertised on this site and in The Dial.
